Test after 20 years

Hello. Here to test.
I used usenet extensively in until about 20 years ago.
Now it seems only required for download binaries, butI only need the old
groups of electronics, music ecc.
All the provider require a payment, isn't it?
The group in it.* hierarchy are all dead?

Only for the binary stuff, for the text groups, many free servers exist.
Make sure you enforce login in your newsreader's configuration.
Loading Image...
Under Server Settings, check the Always request authentication when
connecting to this server checkbox.


Then refresh the group list in the subscription window.

I could be wrong but I think Ray doesn't carry the 'download binaries'
type groups as they use up too much server space.

You should find lots of other useful newsgroups once you set up your
Thunderbird to send your User Name and Password each time you log-in to
the Server.

Require ... NO, but Ray doesn't complain if you make a Voluntary

That would be illegal, wouldn't it? Don't you mean you want to download
Linux distributions?
